Cosmetic products, such as LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening, are subject to EU wide safety regulations. These EU requirements are implemented in the UK by the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013 – also known as the EU Cosmetics Regulation. These regulations forbid the use of teeth whitening products which contain more than 6% Hydrogen Peroxide or for any associated products, such as Carbamide Peroxide, which release greater than 6% Hydrogen Peroxide to be used for cosmetic purposes.

LUMIWHITE BY NIGHT 16% Carbamide Peroxide releases approximately 5.76% Hydrogen Peroxide whilst LUMIWHITE BY NIGHT 10% Carbamide Peroxide releases approximately 3.6% Hydrogen Peroxide. They are both safe to use under the supervision of a dentist as long as the patient is not allergic to any of the ingredients and there are no other contraindications.

Rest assured, LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening products are safe to use. They have been passed by an EU assessor as safe to use and all products are registered into the Cosmetics Products Notification Portal (CPNP).

Whiter teeth are guaranteed and 99% of patients will get to a B1 shade with the LUMI LUXE KIT (WITH SUPERSEAL TRAYS).

In order to achieve optimum whitening results, we strongly recommend the use of our superseal teeth whitening trays which are part of our LUMI LUXE range. LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening has been designed to have a long-lasting effect. However, relapse is not uncommon and this is usually due to lifestyle factors such as smoking and diet. We completely understand how important it is for patients to maintain the level of whitening that has already been achieved. Therefore we advise all patients using LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening to discuss further courses of whitening with your dentist. Most patients top-up on their teeth whitening at least once a year but your dentist can discuss an appropriate top-up whitening regimen with you to help you keep your teeth the way you like them.

A study by Boushell et al. ( 2012 ) evaluated the satisfaction of patients who used dentist-prescribed, overnight, teeth whitening with 10% Carbamide Peroxide in custom-fitted whitening trays up to 17 years post-treatment. They found patient satisfaction with this method of teeth whitening lasted an average of 12.3 years post-treatment.

Rest assured, we are confident you will be very happy with the whitening results achieved using LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening products. Please visit our smile gallery to see further evidence of the power of LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening.

A single 3ml LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening syringe contains enough teeth whitening gel to undergo 3-4 applications (i.e. 3-4 days). The number of applications may, however, differ if your dentist has tailored their instructions to you.
