Clinical protocol on how to use LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening.

Step One

Carry out a full patient assessment (patient must be dentally fit prior to using LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening)

Step Two

Confirm preoperative tooth shade by using a shade guide and take clinical photos (with time stamp)

Step Three

Use composite or GIC to restore any exposed roots

Step Four

Take digital/physical impressions (upper and lower)

Step Five

Patient to return once whitening trays are constructed (if you wish to use LUMIWHITE Superseal Whitening Trays please click here for more information)

Step Six

Consult your patient on whether they would prefer to whiten during the DAY (4% or 6% Hydrogen Peroxide) or NIGHT (10% or 16% Carbamide Peroxide).

Step Seven

Provide your patient with instructions on how to place the whitening gel into their whitening trays (patient instructions present on all packaging – instructions may be modified by dentist)

Step Eight

Consider advising your patient to use LUMI SOOTHE Desentisiting Gel to manage tooth sensitivity.

Step Nine

Review patient 4-5 weeks later and evaluate postoperative tooth shade by using a shade guide and take clinical photos (if the desired tooth shade has not been achieved, consider further whitening and/or alternative treatments such as composite/porcelain veneers)

Step Ten

Discuss an appropriate LUMIWHITE Teeth Whitening top-up regimen with your patient (see LUMI LITE)
